LEMAN has just signed a cooperation agreement with the groupage network CargoLine. This means that LEMAN will be the entrance of 83 new companies to the Chinese market, and according to the company, it offers unique opportunities for further growth in Asia.

"The potential is enormous - especially in the area of general cargo from China to the German market, where LEMAN will be the entrance for the entire groupage network, and in the long run it is the ambition that both aircraft and trains and fullload will be part of the new collaboration," says Henrik Hansen, Commercial Business Partnering Director at LEMAN.

CargoLine is a European network of privately owned independent freight forwarders, and it consists of 83 member companies, including 52 German ones, so it puts LEMAN in a completely unique situation to grow further in the coming years. Among other things, LEMAN will be CargoLine's entrance to the rapidly growing Chinese market.

"It is a hallmark of LEMAN as a large and serious player in the industry, and it increases both awareness and credibility and gives us a huge ballast when we have to expand further in the coming years," emphasizes Henrik Hansen.

German-based CargoLine is also very pleased with the new collaboration:

“We are very pleased to be able to inform the outside world that we have signed an agreement between CargoLine and LEMAN on a collaboration on initially imports from China to Europe via Hamburg. LEMAN is a strong and serious player that already operates in six locations with 100 employees with offices in Shanghai, Ningbo, Qingdao, Shenzhen, Beijing and Tianjing, and our members and their customers will benefit from this,” explains Bernd Höppner, who is Managing Director of CargoLine and in charge of the intercontinental business, and continues:

"CargoLine's head office will negotiate import prices and then deliver them to participating national and international members - in future also LEMAN - via CargoLine's intranet. The goal is to be able to provide better opportunities for our members in a time-optimized way. Track & Trace throughout the shipment will be available, and LEMAN will have a central coordination point for CargoLine in Qingdao, which will initially lead the operations in China.”
